IEDR System Upgrades 22nd/23rd November
This weekend the IEDR are implementing a major systems change in relation to how their back end systems function. While the majority of these upgrades will be transparent to end users (IE domain owners) there are a few items you need to be aware of:
1 – From 5.30 Friday 22nd evening until afternoon of Saturday 23rd:
– No DNS changes will be possible
– No renewals will be processed (we will queue these however for Sat 23rd afternoon )
– No new domains will be registered (we will queue these however for Sat 23rd afternoon)
– These items affect all IE registrars
2 – Post Sat 23rd there is a new non-renewal/expiry process for domains:
– 1 day after a domain’s renewal date the owner of the domain will receive a non-renewal notice from the IEDR (In addition to reminders sent by LetsHost)
– 40 days after the domain’s renewal date, a domain will be suspended if not paid
– 70 days after the domain’s renewal date, a domain will be deleted if not paid – These actions (Mail/Suspend/Delete) will occur at 12 noon
LetsHost staff are working directly with the IEDR to ensure a smooth transition to this new back-end system. We will be on hand with any queries any users will have over the weekend – please log a call with us via your client area for any assistance you might need.
